Trying some new supplies. So far the inking pen seems to be water-fast, and I used a lot of water doing the background. The yellowish stuff is masking fluid; I put it on the tree, clouds, and edges of the landmass so I didn’t have to worry about accidentally coloring them while I did the background. After this dries I’ll be able to peel it off the paper and color what’s underneath. Those wrinkly bits on the sides will also calm down as it dries.
Note to self: phthalo blue, permanent rose, cadmium yellow.
This is absolutely beautiful. I might want you to draw something for me to hang in my new office.

Thanks. I’ll hopefully get the computer hooked up later today and scan the finished version. And yes, we can definitely have a chat about that if you’re interested. 😉
